Vince McMahon gets into nasty Connecticut car crash

Former WWE boss Vince McMahon was involved in a rough car crash in Connecticut last week, according to multiple reports. McMahon, 79, was traveling near Westport on Thursday morning when his 2024 Bentley slammed into a 2023 BMW 430 before hitting a median guardrail, TMZ reported. A third vehicle, a Ford Fusion, driving in the other direction, was then struck by debris from the crash with McMahon. Barbara Doran claimed in a Facebook post that her BMW was struck by McMahon as she was on her way to catch the ferry to Martha's Vineyard The outlet reported that there were no major injuries in the wreck but McMahon was cited for reckless driving — a misdemeanor. Photos of the crash showed fairly extensive damage to the front of McMahon's Bentley, which reportedly had its airbag deployed in the incident. The crash came on the same day that wrestling legend Hulk Hogan died at 71. Hours after the reported crash, McMahon took to social media to mourn the loss of Hogan. 'The world lost a treasure today,' wrote McMahon. 'Hulk Hogan was the greatest WWE Superstar of ALL TIME, someone who was loved and admired around the world. He was a trailblazer, the first performer who transitioned from being a wrestling star into a global phenomenon. 'His grit and unbridled thirst for success were unparalleled — and made him the consummate performer. He gave everything he had to the audience whom he appreciated, respected and loved. 'He leaves us with one of his favorite expressions, 'Train, take your vitamins and say your prayers.' Today, we pray for him.' TMZ reported that McMahon is slated to appear in court in August.

Multiple homes damaged after teen loses control of car and crashes in Huntington Beach

Multiple homes were damaged when a teenager lost control of a car and crashed in Huntington Beach on Friday night. Police said that it happened at around 10:40 p.m. in the 19100 block of Newland Street, according to a release from the Huntington Beach Police Department. "Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears that the vehicle was traveling south on Newland Street at a hight rate of speed when the driver lost control," police said. They do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash. The driver, a 17-year-old boy who does not have a license, and his 18-year-old male passenger were both hospitalized after complaining of pain, police noted. The driver was cited for driving without a license and reckless driving and released to a guardian. Huntington Beach city officials were called to check the structural integrity of the homes.
